My History
Stories have always been a part of my history. One summer my grand father Vaughn began to tell me his families history and I realized the importance of these stories. Both of my grand fathers told me more as did my mom and dad. After graduation from college my main career was in Broadcast Journalism. I did the news in Colorado and Iowa on local radio stations and had many stories appear on national outlets including the crash of flight 232 in Sioux City and others. Today I write and talk about my program and hope many enjoy it as much as I do.

Stories of the Heartland
Stories of the Heartland really began in 1960 when I was 12 although it took 30 years to begin in earnest. In 1990 I began the radio program which was aired on 25 radio stations. Since that time I have interviewed well over older 600 older people who told me their stories through the Tourism TV project and I have over 100 stories produced that are included in the Stories of the Heartland project.
